This warranty statement is issued by Sun Spot Solar & Heating, Inc., for all Seido name branded solar collectors manufactured by Beijing SUNDA Solar Energy Technology Company, Ltd and sold by Sun Spot Solar & Heating, its dealers, distributors, or sales representatives.  Beijing SUNDA unconditionally warrants that all collector tubes shall be free from defects in material and workmanship, leading to a loss in vacuum, for a period of five (5) years from the initial purchase date.  Sun Spot Solar extends this factory warranty an additional (5) years for both vacuum integrity of tubes and collector header and frame components.  Within the 10 year period, we will repair or replace at our option defective collector tubes, header boxes, and other SUNDA parts we have supplied within a reasonable time period at no replacement cost to our valued customer (except for shipping and handling charges, see paragraph 15).

This warranty is contingent on the following General Provisions:

1. Solar collectors must be installed, tested, and serviced according to the installation instructions and operating manuals provided  by Sun Spot Solar and Beijing SUNDA.
2. This warranty covers collectors only (material and workmanship).  No guarantee is made for overall system performance unless Sun Spot Solar was contracted to design such systems with these guarantees stipulated in writing in advance. 
3.  Installations of solar collectors must comply with applicable state or local building and plumbing codes and electrical wiring and safety regulations.
4. Dealer, distributor, or third party sales into US states or territories requiring special collector or system certifications, not available through Sun Spot Solar, are not authorized by Sun Spot or SUNDA.  Therefore, warranty claims originating from such locations are not covered under this statement.
5. This warranty is valid only for the United States and its territories for SUNDA merchandise supplied exclusively through Sun Spot Solar.  Dealer, distributor, and other third party sales into other countries from the United States, or from other countries and other foreign SUNDA distributors into the United States are not covered by this warranty.
6. Damages resulting from improper storage or handling occurring before or during installation on site are not covered.  It is the customer's or consignee's responsibility to inspect shipments upon arrival and to notify the trucking company and Sun Spot immediately of any damages.  Hidden shipping damages must be reported to Sun Spot within 10 business days in order to be eligible for replacement therefore all shipments should be thoroughly examined upon arrival. 
7. Damages to SUNDA collectors or other property resulting from freezing or system pipes or collector header box are not covered under this warranty.
8. This warranty covers only SUNDA components, parts, accessories and hardware sold by Sun Spot Solar and Heating, Inc.  Products from other manufacturers that are sold by Sun Spot will be covered by their own manufacturers' warranties.  Other parts and components  supplied by our dealers and distributors or other third parties shall be covered by separate warranties and are not included herein. 
9. This warranty is voided if unauthorized modifications have been made to the collectors.  Any modifications must receive written approval by SUNDA or Sun Spot before installation.
10. Sun Spot Solar & Heating, Inc. is not financially liable for damages to property, loss of system use, or inconvenience resulting from defective collector parts, or other balance of system components such as (but not limited to) storage tanks, controllers, pumps, pressure relief valves, tempering/mixing valves, or other defective components rendering the system inoperable.
11. Collector damages resulting from either natural weather related events, or accidental damages caused by the owner or third parties, or intentional damages caused by vandalism are NOT covered by this warranty.  Sun Spot recommends insuring solar collectors and systems against such damages and loss. 
12. Sun Spot Solar & Heating, Inc. and its dealers, distributors, and representatives are not responsible for costs associated with troubleshooting of an alleged defect or repair charge for claims not covered by this warranty.  Labor costs to repair or replace parts under this warranty are not covered and are the responsibility of the customer.
13. All warranty claims must be reported to Sun Spot Solar & Heating or its representative  in a timely manner on or before the last day of the warranty period.
14. All warranty claims must be submitted to the installing dealer, distributor, or directly to Sun Spot Solar with a copy of the sales invoice or proof of purchase showing date or purchase and installation, and whenever possible with pictures of the defective part(s). Serial numbers of defective tubes and header boxes shall be included with claims. 
15. Shipping and handling charges for replacement parts covered by this warranty are the responsibility of the customer.
